I have mine mounted up. I doubt it would be differant than a regular Charger and that's how they go. There are differant length hold down studs for the various combos.

I guess it really doesn't matter.  I know on my 68 it was mounted down? but I did not know if it had been replaced.

Mine is face down and then the jack base fits on top of it.  This is how the jack instruction decal shows it.

Thanks Dave.  I was reading the other thread and hoping mine will fit :brickwall: I am going to mount the tire with the white letters in and then put it white letters up in the trunck.  That is how my 68 was and it looked pretty good.

I would hope that when any spare is mounted, it is placed so the air in the spare can be checked without having to drop, pull, or otherwise move the spare.  I mean, that only makes sense, (not that everything Ma Mopar does makes sense.)   :slap:
So, if it were my car, the spare would be mounted stem side out and at the 6 o'clock position.  Of course, if it were my car, it would be driven, so checking the air in the spare would be important. :yesnod:

Face down allows more room for the jack base and lets you use a shorter hold down :2thumbs:

It's not the size of your hold down, it's the way you use it that counts.
I am just trying to decide on face up or down? :nana:
