Who makes the best and could I get the prices for a wiring harness for a 68 charger that has ac with a 383 4 barrel automatic???

Troy

The dash harness is only produced by M&H and it's only available through Year One. With a 20% code I think it's $425. The other harnesses (engine, front lights, tail, console, etc.) are available through other vendors and, sometimes, other manufacturers. Figure on about $1,100 to replace everything - but it's worth it!!!

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Have you checked into the Mopar harness by Painless? I adapted one to my 66. Its a whole car harness that's a universal mopar application. All wires are marked according to circuit, colored coded as much as possible to factory specs numbered and  specified to location in the vehicle. Not a direct swap because it doesn't use a bulkhead connector. Wires originate from the fuse block that has a 50 amp main fuse and I think 12 circuit fuses. It has a horn relay and a electric fan relay. The fuse block comes with a cover and I mounted mine were the bulkhead connector use to be. Its for latter models than my 66 but I would say it was about 80% correct to my car keeping in mind that the 66 has unique instrument cluster and headlight system. Paid about $450 through Summit and Painless offers good phone support.

Well, those are the two main suggestions out there and either will work. I chose the factory reproduction harnesses (Troy's suggestion) because I wanted to be able to look at my Charger and match the wires, plugs and connectors to the schematics in my 68 repair manual. It's worth the extra money to me.

I went with M&H (via Year One) on my '66.  I wouldn't have done it any other way.  I like that everything is just how it was from the factory.  On the engine harness, I bought the harness with the Elec. Ign upgrade for the same price the regular one would have costed you.  The dash harness looks great and the best part about it, all of the connectors are just like the factory and you don't have to worry about re-using your old connectors.  It was well worth the $
