TurboStart Batteries...Anyone using them?

In my search for a battery for my project, I'd like something that looks vintage but has new technology.  I thought about Optima as I have them in my other cars and Odyssey which I got from a few posts in the Forum.  But they don't have the right look IMO.  Although the Odyssey with its bright orange metal jacket might look pretty cool in my Big Bad Orange engine compartment.  I recently came across TurboStart batteries.  They look like an old style battery but are an AGM battery (which I believe is similar to Optimal & Odyssey).  Anyone use them and have good or bad experience?

Thank for your help!

wow!   $229 . i'd like to get a correct looking batt  but maybe a little cheaper
I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

Why not get an original battery casing and have the bottom removed and slip it over a modern unit, then you have te best of both worlds, looks and function.

or more OEM looking

I looked at those Tartoppers.  They don't look well constructed.  Maybe its just the picture on their website.  But a Optima battery is going to run approx $170 plus the topper at $35 gets you to $205.  That's why I was considering this product for $229.  For approx $20 more you have one complete product (vintage look & superior technology).

Just don't know if their AGM technology is the same as Optima or Odyssey.  My guess is it probably is.

Also, an Odyssey battery will run $240 so no savings there.

I have had an Turbo start AGM repo mopar battery in my 68 Charger R/T for the last 7 years with no problems at all. Just buy a battery tender trickle charger and you should be set. I use a battery tender during storage.
