Just curious to know if anyone with a blown motor is running a camshaft with 112 lobe separation!! I was told it would cause overheating on a gas street engine!!! We just had a camshaft ground with 112 lobe separation, so if you have any insight it would be greatly appreciated. Dont want to install this camshaft if people are having problems with this 112 lobe separation and overheating!!! Thanks!!

That is bad information....my buddy runs a split pattern 112* LSA cam on the street and it runs fine...nice and cool.  :2thumbs:

His old cam was a 108 single pattern grind designed for a N/A build and he also ran that one with no issues. It worked descent too  :yesnod: and didn't overheat allthough the "experts" said that it would.  ;)

Stab it in there !  :coolgleamA:

What's the duration at .050 valve lift ? Is this a roller or flat tappet ? What cylinder heads ? Engine combination ?

The LSA is fine and it appears to have a split pattern which is even better  :2thumbs:

Its a roller camshaft!! I cant remember what the .050 duration was!!!! It shipped today we should get it in two days!!!

The heads are Stage 2 heads ported!!! Its got static compression at 8:1. Stock stroke at crankshaft!! Running an 871 blower!!! Havnt picked carbs yet!!!

Not sure what a stage 2 head is ? Is that stage 2 ported cast iron (stock) or stage 2 ported aluminum ?

If using stock heads the valveguides need to be trimmed down to accomodate the increased lift. You will also need good rocker arms if you want it to live on the street. Harland Sharp or T&D are you only options.  :Twocents:
