Getting started on my 68 R/T

This car and I have a long history - I bought it the fall of my senior year in high school(98).
Had a lot of good times in it, did some stupid stuff(who doesn't when they're 18 - 20.
I did a few things to the #'s 440 to liven things up a bit - 284/484 cam, headers, SD intake. Did some street racing, won a few, lost a few but had a great time with my friends.
After a couple summers of this the motor started getting pretty tired so it was pulled, warmed over with a 4.15 crank and some decent internals.
However with the new motor structural issues began to rapidly show themselves- it had some floor issues up front, t-bar mounts need some love, and is generally as you'd expect a 30 year old car that'd been driven to be.
So, it was put in dry storage while I went through college and started a career. 8 years later I've gotten married, bought a home and it is now finally time to start on it.

Last night a good friend and I headed down to pull it out of storage and bring it back home.

Today I hopped on Craigslist and did some snooping - the car could really use new front fenders and I've been searching all over the place to dig some up for it while being prepared to travel up to 500 miles to find some solid originals.
I got very lucky and located a pair 1.5 miles from my house that are in MUCH better shape than the ones currently on it. Scored them for $100 each
Later on tonight some buddies are coming over and we're goinng to start tearing the front end apart to start rebuilding it
It's going to get flat blacked this winter with corresponding black vinyl top/interior and gloss back stripe.
Other than that it'll get discs in front, some decent wheels/tires and be driven next year like the old days :)

I'll be sure and keep this post updated with progress on it as things take place.

Oh, and just in case your not aware AMD makes new sheet metal for chargers... so you don't have to find donors unless you are trying to stick to original Dodge metal.  :2thumbs:

Thanks for all the well wishes guys, I appreciate them!
Actually have been lurking on the site for a year or so, just never really had a reason to post...

Scored a screaming deal yesterday via Craigslist - found a guy 1.5 miles from my place with a bunch of very solid sheetmetal.
I ended up picking up a pair of fenders, hood, trunklid and f/r bumpers for the outstanding price of $360.

Also cleaned my rather small garage out, got the car shoved into the center, up in the air and pulled the wheels/tires off of it.
I'll be ordering a rebuild kit for the front susp this week and starting to research disc brake swaps.
If anyone has any thoughts/input on either of those topics I'm wide open. I was leaning towards a PST kit with poly bushings up front.
