Howdy  I am getting ready to paint the 69 and have a few Q's about the interior side of the doors. Should the bottom and everythig inside of the weatherstripping be body color or interior color???

The 69 will be dark purple with a black interior

Thanks guys,

Tried fifty times to post pics but an error about the file name being the same kept coming up,  :shruggy:

Cool, thanks!
That's  what I thought but fingered what the heck and ask the experts

you have to change the file name and keep it under 200kb. if the pics were too big, then you have to start over by resizing them (under 200kb) and then change the file name again, etc...
you can't even think about posting the same file name twice. if it loads the picture or not, it doesn't matter, the file nam has to be changed.  it's easy just to hit random numbers like....  34083ijhfdk.jpg or something
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

K lemme give it another go, although I hate such small pictures. I think the problem is that my camera is set on 8mp's rather than the standard 2

Car looks like it's moving along well, best of luck.

Easier to upload the pics to a host service like photobucket and paste the link in here.
You get good sized pics then.

Gotta love a '69

That picture is incorrect in regards to the way things were from the factory. The big orange stripe along the bottom would not have been visible when the car was new. On a black interior car, the area *within* the weatherstripping (the black rubber strip) will be painted black. The factory didn't paint the entire inside of the door but they did cover enough so that any gaps between the panels/trim wouldn't show the body color. The edge guards along the rear of the door jamb will also be black.

Here's how the factory did it on my bronze 68 with a white interior.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Good post troy, you should contribute more often...  :2thumbs: this is one of the most overlooked areas on pretty much every "resto" I see... not mine of course...  :misbehaving:

Sweet, thanks for the pics, I'm all over it :2thumbs:
