This was a good friend of mine's Nova. Really clean car. A guy in a truck blew thru a red light.  :rotz: My friend is ok, just a little bruised up. But the Nova's done.  :pity:  He said the guy that hit him didn't even care.  :flame:

Very nice tough looking Nova....gotta be some hurt feelings there.  :'(

Btw, driving our cars these days with so many distracted drivers is getting very scary! :eek2:

Trust me he wanted to hit the guy. He was a boxer when he was in the service. He said if he hit him once, he didn't think he could stop.

Yeah I know that feeling........
Shame about the Chev. Nice looking ride it was.
Gotta love a '69

TruckDriver

Is the uni-body twisted? Looks very fixable. Too bad about the car. I love Nova's. I lost my driver's license in my '74 back in the 1980's. Happy your friend is okay.

It's twisted.  :pity: The metal dash and cowl is bent too.

bull

It can still be fixed on a frame rack most likely. If that guy has insurance I'd be getting the works done on my car at the body shop. :yesnod: He should definitely see about having it fixed.

Mike DC

I'd much rather have a car that's been bent and professionaly frame-racked back into shape, rather than a car that got rusted to death and is now made entirely of asian repro panels & amateur MIG welds.

Black Charger

I am glad to hear your friend is o.k. I agree with what others have said, your friend should really look into having that Nova fixed. I promise you that the average body shop has repaired MUCH worse. I would make sure the tool who hit him pays for EVERYTHING.

Gotta agree with Bull again.  Back in '95 I jumped my '69 off an elevated freeway on-ramp onto the freeway below.  Needless to say the heavy front end was mangled and the frame was twisted.  All but one of the body shops I talked to said the car was totaled but there was one shop that said where there's a will, and big enough of a check, there's a way.  Might as well give it a shot, what's to be lost ?

Additionally, that's one of the reasons why I don't DD the Charger anymore-the roads are more crowded than ever, with jerk-offs in highly maneuverable cars who drive like they're already dead.  I realize that getting wrecked is a possible part of life, but I don't want the '69 to go out that way...

MoparManJim

How fast was the idiot going when he nailed your friend in the side? Also was the idiot drunk? I'm glad to hear your friend is okay. The nova can be repaired, I know afew guys or I should say I knew afew guys that could take stuff like that and bring them real well.. they was the Smith Brothers.

Cooter

This is the single most thing that scares me today....Some b***h/Bas*id hits my junk and doesn't even care enough to at least ACT like they do...

I've made comments before about this and going to jail if I get hit, but in retrospect, the people that cause this kinda heartache aren't even worth killing...Sorry bout your friends Nova...I know as well as many here, all to well how much work and time goes into one of these cars and to have it taken away in a split second SUCKS!

That's really messed up.   :slap:  It was my daughter's car that caught on fire, because of a incompetent bodyshop. I just posted this so you guys and gals keep an eye open for the idiots out there.  :rotz:

To us "daily driver" folks what happened to Shelby's car and the Nova are not taken lightly. I'm sure your joking but at best it's inappropriate in a thread where all are reflecting on others loss. Would you like it if I said: Well if it is so humorous, I hope you get T boned too? (Which I'm Not)   :shruggy: You hurt the Lady's feelings clearly.
