I've just about collected everything I need for my 318 rebuild.  Tore the stock heads off, and replacing with a set of 302s with enlarged valves.  The heads will be hitting the machine shop next week and the only other part I don't have are the pushrods.  Already have new cam and lifters and thought it was necessary to change the pushrods as well.  But I've seen that some people say they wouldn't bother.  So my question is, should I?

Where is the option that says "Depends on which cam and valve springs I use"?

Maybe this will help.  Have the 340 Resto cam (comp cam #20-309-4) with single damper valve springs (comp #901-16).   :2thumbs:

If you are doing a stock build, and all the pushrods are straight....you can reuse them.   if you are going with a large cam lift and a 1.6 rocker ratio as opposed to the 1.5....yes you do.

Specs on the cam are 268/276 duration with .464/.464 lift going into a 318.

Thanks for any replies or votes.

Stock pushrods will be just fine....just make sure they are all still straight :2thumbs:

That's $80 that can go elsewhere, on the car of course...
