AMD quarters, MoPar end caps-poor fit

How far off are your stock end caps to your AMD quarters?

Mine are an unhappy fit, the body man is going to have to recontour the end caps to match the quarters. At the peak of the curve there is probably 1/4" difference. I don't have photos yet but working on them.

Are all 2nd gen end caps exactly the same?

Are the quarter extensions (caps) AMD also?  I have had to split the corners and weld in metal on a 70 I did but they were Goodmark quarters.

I wonder if the AMD corners are any better? I would hope they are better as they have a healthy price on them.

The AMD corners are supposed to be a much better fit than the earlier versions. I thought only Charger Specialties made them but I suppose it's possible that Goodmark did as well.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

With as many threads as have mentioned AMD quality, and as many people who have used them I'm surprised not to have heard about this before. Mine were awesome until we hung the end caps. If Chrysler got it right, how could AMD get it wrong by so far?

They do match the trunk lid perfectly, so I guess I can't cry too hard. Just a little.

Hmmm, yeah, are you talking about the boomerang looking pieces at the top rear of the quarter?
