the cream 66 all stock with 383-4bbl, 4spd, and 3.23 gears got 14-15MPG last year on the freeway

The best with the Daytona was 24.5 MPG.....383, auto, 2.76 gears

The 426 four speed with 4.10 gets about 6 on racing gas - anywhere.  The 318 with three on the tree and a 3.23 open gets about 20 on the highway.  The dual quad 383 seems to do better than 10 with progressive linkage.  The 440 four speed used to get 10 but I have a Passon overdrive tranny and haven't checked the mileage since I installed it.  It seems better but you can buy a lot of gas for the money.  Everything else is in the 14 - 15 range on the highway.
