Maybe it's because of the air grabber hood or maybe the lack of a vinyl top or maybe because they never made a black bird. Or, maybe all three.

We've been attending a local cruise-in that's held every Thursday night. Everyone loved the car but hated the rims. I changed to rallyes and ended up getting best of show at the cruise-in the first time out with them. I'm keeping the Centerlines though as well as the secondary spoiler that Tom built. As I change things on the car I'm storing everything that was on the car, original or not.

I get asked all the time if it is real.

Sometimes I just touch it and say "yep, it's real"  (smart aleck response)

Or I say "If it was a clone it would be in better shape"  (which I am sure is true).

wont exactly stumble across an unrestored clone....where as youll find a lot of unrestored "real" cars. I hate this topic. I used to get asked all the time if my car was a real one. I asked if theyve ever seen a fake one. But that was long before clones were so common. dont say it anymore....then again my car hasnt been on the road for more years than Id like to admit.
