Anyone know what size holes to drill for the trunk pan body plugs?

Just 6T9 CHGR

Good question.....just bought a set myself after 15 years of not having them drilled out!!

Why the heck are those things in there anyway - Did they dip the cars in paint vats and need drains?  :shruggy:

Nowdays the robots use some of the holes as grasping points. other ones are used to sit the panel on a fixture.  Back then I dunno, but I imagine the same sort of thing.

I'm with you. If they were only in there for the factory then why bother unless you are trying to do a factory perfect resto.

because it looks more like a factory trunk pan that way.  Just prefer the car to be the way it was originally built.

ok just been to mesure my spare  original ones !
OEM body plugs in the trunk floor of a 69 are  1 3/4" s   &  1" , diameter that press clicks in to the sheet metal !   , there are two different types uses  rubber & plastic  , what i done when i replaced my floor ,  was to use the biggest cone cutter i could find , then just file to fit with the 1 3/4 ones ! or use an air saber saw, then file :yesnod:
