What do you guys use to clean your tires to get that rich black look? I've been using Meguiar's tire gel, but leaves a sticky residue in the detail areas. I'm thinking the spray foam would be better. What is safe to use and which ones should you avoid?

I use the stuff found at Costco. It is a spray-on in a can. Called "No Touch", it does it all. It's a big 21 oz. can and it lasts a long time. It shines them up perfect, not goo-ey. I spray it on after a good wipe down with soap and water. Could not be easier, lasts for weeks.

Only problem is that it shines your floors and driveway also. I just put down newspapers to not leave a residue.

Comes in a 4 pack for $11.99 total, very economical, I looked on line to give you a link but it's not there. Apparently available in store only.

I have used that before, a few years back. Looked good, I started using a gel because it was easier to keep it off the rims. Here is a link, it's made by permatex. http://www.permatex.com/brand_no_touch.htm They don't list the ingredients online, I can't remember is it silicone that you should avoid on tires?

I concur.  Ive used "No Touch" with excellent results.  If you wash off your tire, the "no touch" does not get the brush all nasty and greasy like the Black Magic Tire Wet or the Meguiars stuff.

I always use Wesleys Bleche White first, it does a great job of cleaning the whitewalls and letters, then I hit it with tire foam...

Black Magic bought the brand name "Westley's".  Its now called "Black Magic" Bleche White and it SUCKS!!!   Obviously its their own shitty stuff under the bleche white brand. :RantExplode: It doesn't smell the same, look the same, or work the same.  :brickwall:

I'm so PISSED!! Does anybody know if (or where) they can still buy the old stuff?  I heard its still available in Canada  :shruggy:

Bleach white is good for whitewall and Raise White Letter tires, but doesnt make the black shine.

White letters? Spray Nine and a bristle tire brush. Works great.

Tire dressing? This:

Apply it with one of those Eagle half-round tire dressing sponges.

For white letters I use Clorox bathroom/kitchen bleach spray and a scratch pad.  Works perfect.

I like to use Bleche White first on a dry tire. For the shine I like Zaino Tire Shine. Doesnt sling off, has a medium shine to it, not greasy or wet looking. Just clean and slightly shiney.

Wow! Those prices are crazier than Zaino's. I am about ready to switch back to Meguires. Zaino has almost priced himself out of my market.
