my son's 72 charger has the original radiator and it has started leaking. We don't want to mess with trying to fix it so are looking around for a replacement. I've seen several OEM radiators in the $150-$200 range. Any suggestions on which one to go with? Ideally, we'd like to get something that is a simple drop in fit so we don't have to change anything since we just totally rebuilt the engine a few months ago and everything is running good right now.

Take it to a radiator shop and have it re,cored. That way you still have the original numbers matching tanks with a better core than a made in china replacement.

take off the cap and look inside... you will see rows (of the cooling tubes) hence... 2 row 3 row ect  :yesnod:

I would also get it re-cored. If it 'aint broke just repair it.  :scratchchin:  I mean, if it was working before then it will work again.  :P  Once you get it fixed, I mean.  :yesnod:  No need to re-invent the wheel.  :icon_smile_wink:

For sure.
Looks like a 26" radiator too if I'm not mistaken.
Get that back to working order. They cool real well.
Gotta love a '69

thanks guys, we found a local radiator shop that rebuilds and will go talk to them at lunch tomorrow. Long as the rebuild isn't more than the new aftermarket ones, we will take your advice and get that done.

well talked to the radiator shop and to recore my original radiator is $200 while a new aftermarket it about $150. I guess maybe aftermarket is the way to go in that case since the shop said the recore is only guaranteed for a year while the aftermarket ones have lifetime warranty and are cheaper. Is there an aftermarket brand that is much better than others? They all look pretty much the same. Ebay had a kajillion of them up for sale in the $150 range.

oldrock talk to mopar stuart if your going aftermarket.
