Hi all,

does the oem kickdown lever move in a front to back, or back to front movement, meaning when its attached to the carburetor, does the throttle lever pull the kickdown forward or push it towards the rear of the car?

mine was unhooked when I got the car, and have sense changed it to a 4bbl, but not sure how to hook it up,

Thanks!!

The transmission lever moves aft as the throttle is opened. (front to back)

If you have changed from a 2-barrel to a 4-barrel the top rod in the linkage will need to be lengthened and, if the carb is aftermarket, be sure to get the correct Mopar throttle lever extension for the brand you have.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
