Are bias ply tires worth anything?

I have 4 G60-14 tires that I took off of my 73. There are 2 Dunlop GT Qualifiers and 2 others that I cant remember what they are. The two Dunlops and one of the others were on the car and hold air, The match to the other was in the trunk and the spare was on the car. They look like there is probably 50% of the tread left. The two rear tires have cracking where they sat flat but the two Dunlops look good other than a little weather checking that is starting to show.  In the thread below you can see the two Dunlops and the original spare. The original spare will go back in the trunk.

Are the G60's worth trying to sell?

Probably not because they are not oem style Firestones or Goodyears. Bias plys aren't used much for automotive applications unless it is on the race track, and these are too old and the wrogn style to be considered for that.

Maybe I'll just mount them on a set of rims and use them for burnout contests.

How old is this rubber? You see cracks in the flat ones and weather checks in the inflated ones but you can bet if the weather checked tires were deflated on the car you'd see the cracks in them as well. The rubber is junk and they need to be thrown away. I imagine if you did a burnout with them they'd explode real quick so make sure no people are around when you do it and be ready to do some body work.

I recently read a discussion on tires that are sold at major stores.  The article suggested that people check the manufacture date on any tire that they buy because they often found that tire dealers sell tires that have been sitting around for a few years.  I don't remember the exact number but I think that they indicated that a tires safe rubber life is only about 6-8 years.
I still have my original 1968 spare tire.  It has never been mounted on the car and will never be.

The biggest tire killer is direct sunlight. We often buy extremely low milage crash test cars, and have had tires with less than 100 miles on them with a billion cracks!

 WOW GT qualifiers  I've run a lot of miles on them on most of my cars back in the 70s and never had any problems. They were the reason you had to have snow tires in the winter, that tread pattern  had no traction on snow or even wet roads over 50 mph. You guys today miss all the fun  of slipping and sliding around.

Bull, they are pretty old I'm sure. The last time this thing was tagged was in 91. The rear tires are pretty rough as far as cracks but the Dunlops actually look pretty good. They were on the front and don't look like they've ever been down.

Yeah I'd bet they would suck for traction in the winter.
