I have been emailing Michelin/BF Goodrich about the availability of 295/50R15's.  I originally ordered a pair in Jan and was told that I would see them end of April or beginning of May.

Got this from them this morning...

Our marketing department advised that the P295/50R15 Radial T/A is not currently scheduled to be produced.  We are trying to get a production date scheduled.  At this time we don't have a date that this tire will be available.  The best possible schedule would start in about 60 days but nothing has been established at this time.

Looks like I'll be shopping for a different brand.

I plan on getting Firestone Firehawks.

Lots options out there other than BFGs, just pick one.

I went looking for 295/50s over 2 years ago and found almost nothing.  The BFGs were on perpetual backorder, apparently like they still are.  I didn't look into the MTs because I didn't want a drag radial.  I think you might be able to get the Coopers, also sold as Mastercraft, but forget about the Firestones.  I'm also skeptical about those other brands linked up above, even though they're listed as in-stock.  I'll admit that I may be wrong and overly pessimistic though.  I eventually scored 4 Eagle GTs (2 for the car, 2 extra) after visiting numerous tire shops and asking them to do searches for tires at their other locations.

good luck

I just got the Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T's in the 295's & are great so far....

Who would order/buy tires on e-bay and then have to pay even more to have them shipped ? :shruggy:

People who want to save money. Sometimes they're still less money online, even with shipping.

BTW, I started this same thread back in December of '07 so I guess we can safely assume that 295/50/15 BFG T/As are officially a thing of the past: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,37254.0.html

Mickey Thompson makes the S/T which is a S speed rated street radial and the S/R which is an H speed rated street radial. Neither of these are soft sidewall drag tires but full on street rubber designed to take corners in a 4000# car.

Where? I hear about lots of things that are "in stock" at various places until you try to buy them.

375instroke

I come to find that although some sites say they are out of stock on some parts, give a date when some parts will be available, and some parts are in stock, and let you purchase them, you can get an email the next day telling you they are on back order, too.

375instroke

Places are telling me October for BFG 245/60-15 and 295/60-15.

What's the QTUG on these:

Yea, they've been saying October for years.

If the date on the tire reads 10 or 11 I would believe they really are being produced again. If they read something like 06 they're just "new" leftovers. At any rate, it's moot as far as I'm concerned. There are better RWL tires out there than BFG and the company's lack of commitment to muscle car owners over the past 4-5 years confirms my inclination to go elsewhere for tires.
