I bought an iphone window/dash holder http://www.extremepda.com/IPHONE-SM215.html to get the hands free experience when actually driving and recording video. It is nice. The package was under the doormat when I got home (from work) so I assembled it, jumped into the Charger and recorded this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKYuamgxsnU  The image was very steady, even though I purposely didn't get out of 2nd gear the entire loop ( :D) .  And it will pull double duty as my work truck phone holder so it will be expensed. Now to get back to work getting proposals out....  :icon_smile_angry:

cool video, sounds like you have some of the same squeeks i do.

Thanks all. It is a lot less shaking and a lot more safer.  :icon_smile_big:  Yep, the squeaks from the seats are very noticeable, as I listen the the video. Sounds like you have the same problem. I'm guessing this is usual with original upholstery that is, for the most part, a few decades old...  :P

$25 for that mount, not bad.  I got the Tom Tom navigation car kit for the iphone and it works great,  though it was over $100.

Great test drive with the new mount!  nice and sturdy.  Got any pics of the setup?  Or is the iphone the primary camera?

Here is a photo of the set-up. It can generally be mounted anywhere on the windshield, and comes with a plastic adhesive base that can be mounted as a dash mounting point. Not a bad value, imo.  ;)

Seems like an interesting idea, might be fun at the drag strip too.   :2thumbs:

Now what about getting a second one, have it face you, & do a split screen view on you tube so we can see the look of horror on your face when some moron does something stupid in front of you?

Your car sounds great, I love the sweet sounds of a four speed!  :yesnod:

Thats cool but you should mount it on the back window so we can see the inside of the car too.

Put enough of thous in the car & the other guys insurance company can not say it was your fault. You could feed it to your i-phone, keep an on the car, plus we could see some really cool burn outs & strip action.

Noticed two '69 Plymouths across the street, and lots of burn outs on the ground.

I wish. Those two cars are Ford Galaxy 500's. A gent down the street had a 'Cuda, but sold it quite a while ago. The only Mopars on my street are mine.  :icon_smile_big:

I love the piece at 1.55 where you push the pedal a little deeper..... :yesnod:
Greetings from Belgium, the beer country

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

That's way more tech than my solution: leaning the phone against the dash, and using a quart of oil to hold it in place. :smilielol:

Cool deal, Dan, thanks for the idea and vid.

Seems to work fine and a whole lot safer so bonus both ways. Good few clips you have, so maybe some strip action coming up  :icon_smile_cool:
