Kurt Busch #2 Dodge dominated the last 10 laps-I really like how he kept thanking Dodge power for the victory. He bounced off the wall twice and still dominated at the end.
Great win.

I know the feeling!   I am thinking people should consider this while coming up with a title for the subject they are posting.

I agree. Don't give away something others may have taped in the title. It is just the considerate thing to do.

I will say about the only time I will cheer for a Busch is if he's he's keeping JJ and "Cheater" Knaus out of the winners circle. Nowadays, it doesn't matter what brand they drive to me. They all look the same. I like a driver for the driver, not what he drives on the track. If he drives my brand, that's a bonus.

Sorry for the spoiler title but you know what-I watch things like that live-sure it's an old fashioned concept but the race is broken down into sprints so time shouldn't be an issue.

I have to brutally honest here-if I taped this race I'd watch it first then hit the site.

I love it when people blame you for there inconsiderate actions.

I guess I'll be brutally honest. Your a dumbass.

Real NASCAR fans don't tape the races -it's "their" way of saying "I actually care". You used dumbass properly, but it's "you're" for you are-no charge for the grammar lesson...

General_01

Thanks. By the way, did you ever think that maybe people have to work when the race is on. I guess a "real" Nascar fan should quit their job to watch the race. Like I said, your an inconsiderate dumbass. We thought saying it politely would be enough. I just thought you first response showed a lack of respect for the polite way the guys were asking you to think before you post. Your second response just shows you could give a rat's ass about others.

Oh, and thanks for the grammar lesson. Your such a smart guy. ::)

this isnt the first time that anyone has spoiled an outcome of a game on this site.  IT DOES NOT MAKE THEM IN THE WRONG.  what are they supposed to do, do a poll to ensure that people they dont know or people that they do not know where they live will or will not tape a sporting event.  that is just fricken idiotic.

Those of you that are riding this guy's behind, because he wasnt reading your mind on whether you taped a event, are just being malicious and evil.  get off your high horse.  the guy did not PURPOSEFULLY do this to annoy you, he was just excited about the win for dodge and wanted to post it. NO ONE on this site has NOT posted something out of excitement before... they are all exciting to the person posting it in some way, shape, or form.

you all should be ashamed of your crass and totally unwarranted behavior.

Wow...I didn't expect this thread to turn into this.   I am not saying its all about me and at no time did I think I was being crass.    I just think it would be considerate for people to think about about others when they start a thread like this especially when they start it right when the race ends.  Does the title really have to say the winner of the race?  Maybe post a thread about the race and then post INSIDE the thread the winner.  I wasn't trying to start anything but there is no reason others should feel like they have to stay off this site anytime a sporting event is taking place in fear that someone will post a thread saying the winner right after its over.   I think I have just as much of a right to be frustated over the TITLE to this thread as he did being excited enough to post it and not consider the fact that others may not be done watching it yet.

Everybody, including myself, said politely it would be nice to not spoil something IN THE TITLE OF THE THREAD. We did not say he could not post about the race, but at least give people a chance to not read the topic to avoid spoilers. Example: The All Star Race was Awesome (Spoiler Alert). See, post your exciting take on the race and it's outcome IN THE THREAD, NOT THE TITLE. Kinda like when people post pics of scantily clad women and write NSFW(Not Safe For Work) in the title so others may avoid getting in trouble at work.

His response was just totally ludicrous. We are not "real" fans because we had other commitments and taped the race for later. Shows total disregard for others. Why don't you go and be ashamed of your crass and totally unwarranted response.

he said that only after you called him a dumbass... which, two wrongs dont make a right, but a "dumbass"? come on man... what you expected him not to say anything at all and just take your harsh and totally off-kilter criticism?

sounds like i hurt your feelings since you had to quote my statement.  sorry about that, but you know your dumbass comment was unnecessary, so if the shoe fits, wear it.

No, you didn't hurt my feelings. I just call them as I see them. He was inconsiderate for posting the outcome in the title. I told him he was a dumbass because his response was idiotic. All he needed to say was "Sorry. I'll think before I post next time." or something of that nature. Everybody makes mistakes. I just have a problem with people who say "Sorry, but this could have been avoided if you.......". Shows that he doesn't really take any responsibility. You know as well as I that it was inconsiderate. Two wrongs don't make a right, but saying nothing just ensure's the same outcome.

I also like how everyone totally misses that I did not say anything harsh until he showed a lack of empathy to the plight of the other guys. Read my FIRST response in this thread. Then read his response. Does that sound like a real apology? It didn't to me and that is what irked me. Take care.

This rule about not talking about things like this is crazy.  I have taped sporting events before, but I go out of my way to avoid talking to anyone about them before I get home and watch them.  If they are important enough for me to call someone I do not know a "dumbass", I watch them as soon as I get home.

It is a little crazy to expect people not to discuss a sporting event for several days because you may not have watched.  If this is the case how many days need to go by before you can safely discuss such a topic?

I listen to a radio show on Sirius that covered this topic a while back and the consensus was that you can talk about a sporting event at any time, but with TV shows and movies you should wait.  I agree.

The sadest part about this is that we lost a member to this site because of a couple of peoples rude and inconsiderate responses.  I did this once on here, and the appropriate thing to do is apologize and move on.

The last time I gave a poo about somebody taping a sporting event and getting yelled at for talking about it at work ( 2nd shift at the time) and ruining "their" surprise was 1984.

The world doesn't actually work on a tape delay.    Get over it.   :eyes:

OMFG people!!!!   I never said that he cant post about it!  I only asked to be considerate and not give the winners name away in the thread title.   Was that so wrong of me?  I will also mention that I was watching it as soon as I got home....I was watching it as my DVR was still recording it... it's not like I was pissed because I came on here the next day and saw his post.  He posted the winner as soon as the race was over!  Anyways...I guess I know better than to browse this site while I am watching anything that I have recorded and plan on watching later.   I just hope that nobody decides they are going to post the ending to a bunch of movies I haven't seen yet on here because afterall if I don't see it during it's premiere in the theatre I must not be a real fan of watching movies.

:scratchchin:   I've seen folks post "Spoiler Alert". on topic titles and in their posts when it was appropriate but seems this went to the nuclear option pretty quick.. Truth be told alot of the more vocal members here can be pretty harsh and yes i have been guilty of being a spelling Nazi myself... I think it's actually a characteristic of Charger Fans generally if this site is any indication.  :RantExplode:
