conflicting answers

been trying to find out if a pushbutton 727 transmission that backed a 318 Poly motor from 64 will work and bolt up to a 72 318 LA block.  been asking around and im getting both yes and no, anyone got any experience with this?  its going into a 64 polara and we would like to try t okeep the orginal pushbutton tranny

It will definitely bolt up but one upper attachment hole might be off about half a hole.
