Any one have any thoughts on the best headers for a 440 charger? I want to get ceramic coated ones, whats best for longevity, coating quality, etc.? I always have leaned toward Hooker.  Thanks

The best ones for me are ones that are off the car...I got tired of leaks, burned wires, scraped collectors....

Sorry, I had headers on my 383, after 6 months, I torched them off and installed hi=po manifolds from 68-70 engine

That's just my opinion...consider the source

I hear good thing's about TTI Headers expensive, but a good fit. Dougs Headers are another quality Header expensive, but you get what you pay for  :Twocents:
Make sure they are coated too.

without a doubt, the tti headers are the best out there  :Twocents:

Schumaker tri y heads might be a compromise. . Stepped primarys and the collectors are well above the ground and t- bars.

The problem for me is the math. I like to buy horses for about $10 dollars each. Hooker or Hedmens at about 30 hp work. TTI 's would have to add 80 HP

For a street car, you can't beat Schumacher, but they're expensive. Headers that give you starter access.

i like hookers, havent really heard alot about tti but i just looked them and up and saw they are pretty damn expensive and they look pretty good to. im prolly going to look more into those and possibly use them myself when i get my car running.

Im looking at the hedman ceramic coated #78036. anyone know of any problems with them? TTI's would be nice but are just too expensive for me.

hedmans I had to cut out a pipe, bend it and re-weld it to fit around the starter and clear the steering linkage.

Hookers fit without modification.

On my 318 Duster, the Hookers block the starter in so there isn't much access and the steering linkage runs right through one of them. They're a bitch.

I had issues with TTI and had to have a exhaust shop make a piece to get the to system fit and I bought the complete exhaust system from the headers to the exhaust tips out the rear.  I seem to be a minority though . . . .
Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .
