some other than cars.

Still have many car signs to do. I'm currently doing a better stance of the 69 Charger R/T with wider tires, a 1969 Super Bee 440 Six Pack car with wide tires and a nice stance, Steam Locomotive, 68 Mustang, and a car that's coming up in Mopar Muscle, a 1964 Plymouth Max Wedge car.

Here's what my 1964 Plymouth Max Wedge car image is looking like so far.  I have to do some fine detail work yet, but it's getting close.

Here's a sign I did for fun for Stu Harmon of the Mid Peninsula Muscle Car Club.  It's not complete yet, but here's how it looks so far.

LeesRT

Updated the Mid Peninsula sign and had a lady come in today wanting a Man Cave sign.  Here's what it's looking like so far.  I need to add some stuff to it yet, but I think it will look pretty good when done.

update on the mancave logo

LeesRT

Here was the final Man Cave sign.

LeesRT

Trying some offshoots of the Man Cave sign to see if there is any interest.  I also have a couple other caveman images I'll use for different types of signs.

Got a few signs run finally.  My 56 Nomad turned out so well that my boss took it to someone who owns one so I didn't get a chance to take a picture of it.  I do have more car models coming in the near future, but things have slowed down and my hours have been cut.  Keep watching.  I'll do them as I have time and work.

few more

Beautiful signs, but...

Do you realize that everything you are selling is protected trademarks? If Chrysler, or Ford, or whoever find out that you are selling them, and you arent paying some type of royalties to use their trademarks, you and the company you work for are in for a real bad time.

Used to be a guy at the big car shows that sold street signs with names like "Charger Boulevard", and "Cuda Lane", etc. Chrysler made him stop. I guess he didnt have much of a choice.

I still thing they are beautiful signs. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

Here's a few new ones.

1955 Thunderbird sign is on Maple that's been painted black.
1947 Lincoln sign is on Alder that's been painted black.
The rest are on the regular Black Melamine.

I really like how the Maple sign looks in person.  The pictures don't do it justice.  It is crisp.

The Storz sign is an old Beer logo...the Beer Company no longer exists.

a few new signs.

Just wondering.

Could you cover the initial material with some type of adhesive tape, then cut the sign, then spray paint the background, then remove the adhesive to expose the black surface?

That would allow you to make signs with popular mopar background colors instead of the plain wood color.

I think it would be cool to see a sign with a lemon-twist yellow background for example.

LeesRT

We actually started looking into that but have yet to find a tape that will handle being cut into and staying in one place.  I'm sure there is a way to do it efficiently.  I just haven't found it yet.  On Maple wood, I'm getting the two paint color system down pretty good.  The Ford GT you see will be silver and the rest black with Maple background.  The 68 Mustang will be Salmon color with black accents and Maple background.  The Vette will be white.  I may do a sample Bee in Red and black.  As for the Melamine background, you can probably tape it off and paint it pretty easily.

Can you cut into anything other than wood? Like maybe some type of colored plastic or laminate?

LeesRT

Yes, we can cut info colored plastics, laminates, & woods.  If you have a hankering for metal, I have access to my friends metal cutting machine as well.  Don't ask me to do granite.  I don't have access to granite cutting equipment anymore.

If you want to lay down color, can't you just spray it first with something water soluble like polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), then cut it, paint it and then remove the paint and PVA?  How about this?  http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/div/div3020.htm

The wood would be easy, because you can just sand the high areas.

I redid one of my past signs (69 Charger R/T).  I wasn't happy with the old design.  Then I did a Maple 69 Six Pack Superbee.  Mopar Muscle E-mailed me today and asked if I would be interested in putting some of my signs in their magazine.  So I'm getting some more Maple signs together to show off the designs.

I got to thinking...I'm always taking pictures straight on and you can't see the depth in the signs.  Here's a couple angle shots to show this.
