coming out of albertville on the right at the bottom of the hill on 431 was a house(i think he sells rvs now) that had a general lee and kit cars and would let kids stop in and take pics with them. this was back when the dukes were still on tv. early 80's. i was thinking about it and thought i would go and see if he still has the charger. ive been out there and noticed cars in the back yard but cant tell what they are. if anyone knows i would like to hear from you. thanks

I remember seeing that General a few times back then.

I remember seeing a Black 70 Cuda in late 80's there. Just down the road a few years ago was another place that sold musclecars only, Po Boys or something like that. LEON.

When you say coming out of Albertville, do you mean heading towards Guntersville or Gadsden?  I am in Gadsden and I don't remember a General in the area.  I do remember one on the way to my Grandparents house, somewhere between Gadsden and the Muscle Shoals area and if memory serves me it was between Decatur and Muscle Shoals.  I remember seeing that General on trips to my Grandparents, it would be sitting by a house and I would beg to stop but we never did.

towards boaz and sardis (which is where po boys is located at) and i have seen a general lee in gadsden before. i heard the guy still has it but im not for sure. last time i went to po boys they had 2 66 or 67 chargers sitting in the back. that was about 3 years ago though. i did find a 69 charger next to my house that has been there since 1985 didnt know about it and have drove past it a million times. 1500 complete with a show room nice seats dash grill and great original sheet metal. was nicked by the tail panel so that will need replaced. ill try and get pics today and it should be at my house monday  :drool5: :icon_smile_big:

I've never seen one. The last time I saw a general was at the first Friday show back in march. It was a 68 converted to a 69.

last time i seen that one was 5 or 6 years ago in gadsden. havent been out that way in awhile. ill have my 69 monday, and ill have it on the road in 5 years lol.

Old Greg

I feel the same way lol. My 68 is at my friends shop right now.

I completely missed the part about Po Boys or I would have known where you were talking about.  The only General I know of in Gadsden was sold a few years ago.  It was a 70 and I have heard roomer that the man who owned it sold it to buy a 69.
