Attended a real nice Northern California show today, in Tracy. 250 cars, of which 180 +/- were Chevy, 60 +/- Ford, and the remaining 10 were: 5 Mopars (4 + mine, the pics follow this post), 2 Willys, 1 GTO, 1 Caddy, and 1 Studebaker.

My Road Runner took Best of Show, beating out the Chevys and Fords.!!!! :woohoo:

You have to understand: Northern CA is Chevy country. I mean it is overwhelming at every show, nearly all Chevy with a mix of Mustangs. So Mopar is always the underdog. I had a really good laugh (privately) when the panel of judges called my name, because 3 of the five judges had on shirts with a Chevy logo from their Chevy club. A sweet victory for Mopar. It can happen.

A very fine 66 Charger. With an original Hemi. It was as clean as any car I've ever seen. Didn't get to talk much with the owner, pretty sure he is from Sacramento.

An awesome 1951 Plymouth Savoy Woody Wagon. Had no idea such a thing existed. Fantastic restoration. Didn't get to see the engine or talk with anyone.

Forget to mention on the last post: the 51 Savoy Wagon had the plate PLYWUDE. Outstanding.

A very nice 50 (or 51?) Dodge Pickup.

My favorite car in the show. An awesome Mopar. A 1941 Plymouth Taxi.!!!!

Not just any 41 Plymouth Taxi, it had great decals, suicide doors, a 426 Wedge, built to race C/Gas, and he races everywhere he can. It was an outrageous vehicle but the Brand X folks didn't appreciate it. Pics don't do it justice.

Congrats on the award, your car deserves it.

I have never seen the silver 66 before so I doubt its from Sacramento unless the owner just bought it.
I guess we will see if he shows up to Mopars in the Park this year.

The Taxi is cool.
Wonder what he chargers per mile.

More Congrats  and nice RR :2thumbs:   Mopars are in the minority at the shows here most of the time.  They're around but not many seem to take them out.
