I guess he didn't pull the tranny or motor when he stamped them.   

The VIN Stamps on the engine and transmission have been examined and confirmed original by an acknowledged Mopar expert.

Well, as the build date on the fender tag is May 9th, 1968, it tracks that the build date on the A833 is May 2nd, 1968. The stampings do look a bit poorly placed, but it matches. I would like to see the stampings on the radiator support and trunk lip. but the owner probably wouldn't like taking a paint scraping off of it.    Very nicely done car.
