Red interior guys direct me please.....

I need paint  for dying a set of lower dash pads, door arm rests and the plastic moldings that go in the interior. So far so good I believe most guys here say SEM is the way to go so that'll be the way I go....
however with what should I paint the metal that needs red paint on the inside (steering column, headliner moldings, doors below interior panels)
SEM does'nt say that their flexible paint is suited for metal so what paint should I use for that?
I'd like to find paints that color match as closeley as possible......

Another one : I have a new 69 red interior from Legendary, what is the SEM color I need to mactch with that?  The SEM color chart has 3 red colors avail : firethorn red, portola red and flame red.

Any guys that have went to a red interior that already know what i dont please help.

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

I used Mopaints. The brighter one is Rallye Red. The upper and lower dashpad is a darker red called Regatta. I also found the Krylons Fusion red is a very close match to the bright Mopaint Rallye red.

My Legendary covers did not exactly match the factory color I got from Mopaints. I had to knock down the gloss on my headrests with steel wool to get is close. I spoke with both Legendary and Mopaints and the dye lots vary some from one set to the next.

Truthfully, it was a pain but when it is done the red interior is an eye catcher.

Here is an old thread on it:

Thanks for the link. that helps alot.

I need to color about the same amount of stuff like you did (from what I read in the thread in your link) except for the head rests.
How many spray cans did you use on your job? Might be helpful to order.....

Thanks

It was 6 years ago now but I think it was one can of Regatta and two cans of Rallye.
