So, the time has come to get a valve job done, on a ...............79 Monte Carlo, ewwwwww.

My sons car, i make fun of it, but the little V6 has gone 190,000 miles. Must have suddenly dropped a seal as its really started smokin when you first start it up.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good machinest in the Seattle/Lynnwood area? Probably give him a lesson in engine rebuilding too

Think i will just do it in the car myself, gotta quit being so lazy when it comes to GM's

The guides are probley worn out. I would just replace the valve stem seals and be done with it. Grab a 350 for a rebuild project.
