Hey all, I am on a budget trying to build my 440, well I am going with a solid flat cam for my motor and I am looking to get a adjustable rocker arm set for the motor. Cam will be in the 240's duration with less than  560 lift, so I dont want to spend 500+ on some high end rockers. I was looking at some less expensive, the following where the ones I was looking at. Have you guys had any experience with em?

Here are the Pro Forms I was looking at.

And here are the Pro Comps

For a mild street engine i would look at the Isky or Crane ductile iron rockers. Descent roller rockers are expensive and this is one area you don't want to skimp on.  :Twocents:

Thanks for the reply guys, by the way Ron are these the ones you are talking about, because I am trying to find the older isky ductile iron ones but they are hard to find. So I found these over at summit, now do I need new shafts or can I reuse the stockers?

Yep, that's the set you need....they do work fine with the stock rocker shafts and hold downs. As long as your shafts are in good shape with no gauling you're good to go.  :2thumbs:

Thanks for the help Ron, one more question. What are the HP differences between roller rockers and ductile iron on a healthy 440?

You might see 5hp on a flat tappet profile assuming the same rocker ratio. The Roller Rockers are really best suited to larger cam profiles over .600 lift and with increased spring pressures (solid roller = 600+lbs)
