it  used some phosphoric acid on it then sprayed it with epoxy primer. ill use some filler, high build then black sealer

Thanks! It will be a resto mod but money will not permit much atm so ill do the little tid bits i can. Its amazing how getting the quarter out of the corner of my garage opened up so much room!

Since the twins i havent got time to work on the car but ive finally got some time back again. The amd quarter fits well where it really counts like on the roof and the  body lines. however i have some issues in a couple places. bottom near the rocker panel isnt even close, and the rear valance will need some cutting as well.

Turns out the wheel opening was where it should be so i cut across to the end but left it intact then just folded it under to get my line and cut the strip out. nice nasty flux core butt weld.

just needs a little more clean up and some filler. you can see it fits like a glove and my millions of spot welds.

Garage got a new addition. neighbors asked if im going to paint the garage.... nope! going to cover the walls in posters and neon lights!

So on my time Not working on the charger i had time to think of what i wanted to do to it and of course changed my mind a few times every week.... But im committed now! I think the 71 side markers look nice but they seem to small to me and 72+ are just cheap crap and also to small for the giant fenders. So i decided to go with 71 cuda side markers. They are long, clean and flush and I feel like this is what should have come on the car from the factory.

BOOM! Looks so right!   I also got rid of the fenders blinker indicators..... i did it real fast and kept welding and warped the hell would of the top of the fender so some more heat and a hammer and a lil bit a filler and shes lookin all right!

thanks. thats one down and 3 more to go. also got some goodies at carlisle this year ill get those pics up and hopfully gettem on. Need to track down the rest of the side marker pieces. Id buy new but my budget wont allow at $350 for the set, i dont think thats a bad price but id be happy with some nice old used stuff for alot less.

Nice job on the marker lights! they do look like they belong in that big fender.
I like the 68 B body marker lights the best, discrete but cool looking. 2nd best is the 70-71 Cuda marker lights, Big and cool looking

Picked up another 400 with a 727 and all the goodies for next to nothing. they said it was low miles and when i took the intake off it really looks like it never ran much. i replaced the water pump, oil pump, thermostat, ill be doing the gaskets and seals as well. i used some wrinkle paint on the vavle covers and threw on a dual plane intake. im using a 600 cfm edelbrock carb i got used which should work fine for such low comp.

Blacked out motor?   My nephew wants to do this with my 360 but I think in my case it would only be too much black

Thanks for encouragement! I cant wait to get all of the side markers on!
dark grey metallic and black are what im going with so it will all fall into place at some point.

anytime my friends!! Heres the goodies i picked up.!! Rims are 15X10 got the leafs from a roadrunner and got damn good deal on the 3rd gen subframe connectors. Im going to fab the rest of the chassis stiffing my self.
