68 Charger Vin # question

Well I know this has been talked about on here before but I can't find the thread. The Vin number on the dash on my 68 Charger does not match the one on the radiator support. Is the radiator support the factory order number????? The radiator support looks like it was still welded on from the factory. I have also not looked at the number on the trunk lip yet. The car did not have the fender tag when I bought it so no luck there. I also have not been able to find a build sheet either :'(.  Thanks
