As I had the carb of to make a throttle valve bracket I decided to check it out.
The carburetor was purchased new several years ago, but the car has really only done a RR session with it.

Geez! host of problems found.  :o :eyes:
-Floats not set at the correct height
-Sand in the fuel bowls
-Primary and secondary throttle discs not correctly aligned.
-Primary and secondary throttle discs not being able to open fully
-Choke valve not being able to open fully

Glad I found this before bolting it back. :icon_smile_big:

Moral: Always check your new carb before installing

That's exactly what I'm running right now.....out of the box...i never had any trouble with it!!!  As far as sand in the float bowls.....you got me on that one....im going to go out on a limb and say that wasnt there when the box was opened though....im very happy with mine actually...and choke?.....i dont need a choke!!!...lol
