Had my Rallye gauges repaired - very happy!

I just wanted to show my gauges after they were repaired by Danny Gemza, a friend of a member here on dodgecharger.com. The thermal wire in all the gauges (temp, fuel and pressure) were "cooked" (and thus broken) and the metallic strip on all bent (probably from being fried with an overvoltage). I thought about getting some of the new aftermarket reproduction gauges but also wondered if anyone could "competitively" repair ones that had been cooked. Someone can.  :2thumbs:

The photos show the gauges readings versus the input resistances at the low end (73 ohms), the middle (23 ohms) and the high (10 ohms). The high end reading were spot on, but I still need to set the lower end readings (which will no doubt drop the middle set points); personal preference and all. I may just throw them back in the Charger and see how I like the setpoints. The oil pressure and water temperature faces were also replace by Danny. The rivets used to reattach the faces look like the originals.

Contact Danny at "dgmagnumv10@yahoo.com", or call him at 704-309-9040 if you're interested. I recommend him highly. This is a part-time service for him as he does have a "real" job working with his Dad and two brothers on Mopars in their shop in North Carolina.

...and setpoints at high end. I was very pleased with his work.  :yesnod:

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

These guys are fantastic. The Mopar crowd is a STAND UP community because of people like these. I have to carry a mop with me when I go to their shop so I can clean up my drool from looking at all the cool cars, and the quality of the work is no less than OUTSTANDING!
