Where can I find BG 44K?   I have never heard of it.  I have used sea foam before Just wondering if it is the best one out there.

Cooter

The BG 44K product while We use it along WITH the two part process at the shop to clean the intake tract, I don't believe in the cleaner in a can thing.....I've found the only real way to clean the injectors is to hook the vehicle up to a cleaner product, let run on product till dry, then reconnect the fuel system to properly clean injectors....The "Cleaners" in a can are mainly a Maintainer rather than a cleaner....Once clean, it will make sure they stay that way...

Arguably, Lucas or SeaFoam. I do however like B-22 for a carbureted car.

Cooter can you give be a ball park figure on what that kind of service would cost to get done???

A383Wing

We use the MotorVac system....usual charge is under 2 hours with solution....or about $200 total

It's basically the same as what Cooter described....

Thanks for the ball park figure A383wing.

Is any of this stuff compatible with diesels? My old man's Duramax has lost a few MPGs lately, and he's wanting to try cleaning the injectors. The truck has a little over 200k on it, and I don't believe it's ever been done.  I know it hasn't been done in the five years he's had it, and he bought it used.

Yes, the "Motorvac" set up is about correct on the labor....It is the only "Real" way to clean your injectors...

All diesel's loose a few mpg during winter due to winter blend diesel, just FYI.

Ive had good luck with the Techron stuff too in my daily drivers.  My fuel guage would occasionally stick and a can of that stuff frees it right up no problem!

I've always used the Techron. Works well and never had a fuel injection problem.
In fact, this product was recommended to me by an Engineer (Phd) who recommended it. I believe he worked at Chevron at one time.
