Hi guys, I have a question. A guy localy has this 1962 Dodge D100 panel van for sale. I like it but I went to take a look at it and it needs quite some work. It has dents all around and rust holes in the bottom of the doors.  It has a non original 318 with auto trans. It was originaly a 6 cylinder with the three on the tree. He says it is running perfect but he had the carb off of it to clean when i was there so I did not witnessed it.
I thinking of offering him $2500, is that to much or is it worth more than that? I know it is hard to judge by 4 small pictures and my little story but I'd like you're opnion anyway. ;) Thanks in advance!

I dunnow, but the bubbles don't exactly make it a panel van anymore. Good luck.

Lennard

You are right, but if i and up buying it they go out and it will be a panel van again.

Personally i dont care for that grille and if its not a popular body style will you be able to get your $2500 back if you need to sell it?   :Twocents:

That thing is pretty cool. There was one for sale locally a while back but now I can't remember the price. Unless you're a collector and know the values I wouldn't spend a ton. If you want a neat parts hauler/hot rod I'd try to get it cheap and drive it "as is".

One was on eBay (non rusty, non-running shell) that didn't sell for $790.
Here's another one on eBay that looks much nicer and didn't sell for $5500:

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

If it was decent and original I'd give 2500$ for it but not for that thing. I also question if its a 1962. Looks older. Didnt think they made that body style in 62.

Now that looks like pile-o-fun.  How would you get a title for it?

RD

you can get one from the state with a bill of sale since it is so old.

If it was an unmolested original and in very good condition I'd say 2500.00 might be okay but not for this one! :Twocents:
