Jim if you ever get tired of shining that black car up you feel free to let me know and I'd be more than happy to take it off of your hands.  ;)

Great looking car Jim. Looked it over a few times now and it still looks great each time I see it.

Jim,
Was good to chat with you about Daytonas at Tims museum when our cars were parked out front! Congrats on a great car and making it into the magazine!

Congrat's Jim, just got my issue last night and enjoyed reading all about it's history. Great find, she's obviously in good hands now. :2thumbs:

Take care,

Congrats on the story, Jim!  I cancelled my subscription to Mopars & Playboys (a/k/a MCG) a while back, but it's good to see your car getting some well-deserved press.

That issue finally hit the newstands up here.
Great job Jim.
Did notice in the story it never mentions the daytona running a hemi for a while.

Sorry about the Hemi  part being left out of the story,,,i did'nt write it. The first thing Century motors did was take the 440 out,and install a highly modified   Hemi.  As I got the story,,, 440 was later sold to some poor sole that had blown his up. Never could find out what- goodies- the Hemi had in it. I do know it was first run with hillborn injection,,,later changed to two carb's.
Next thing they did was cut the entire top out of trans,,hump to get acess to trans,,,.  After it was off the strip it was converted to 383---auto, for a driver.  ALL COMPENTS that could be, were changed to 6 cyl size.

No problem Jim.I"m sure many things got changed on a regular basis just to go a little faster.I wonder if this is the daytona the dealer advertised about giving rides in?I did send you that pdf file right?
So far I have found Century motors had a hemi charger as a demonstrator for '68-'69-'70.
