Anybody catch NCIS last night and see the '70 Challenger that got a fairly long involvement in the show?  Also there was a red '70 Cuda convert at the end.

Hard not to notice those two cars.  You notice Gibbs normally drives a new blue R/T Charger in the show and in the new NCIS LA they drive an SRT Challenger.

Wife called me in to tell me about the cars on the show and I caught the very end so don't know the story. Creeped me out the way the one woman was talking about cutting up the car even if it did belong to the bad guy.  Brrrrrrrr.

mauve66

they yellow one is gibbs car from his high school days (or so)
they pissed me off when the put the magnet on the quarter and talked about bondo, no real collector would of bondoed a quarter on a hemi cuda convertible and the quarter wouldn't have even been damaged in the pedestrian hit and run they were discussing anyway, i wish shows would employ someone with car sense onse in a while...............................
as a side note i would like to see Abby and Zeva get it on....................... :popcrn: :popcrn:

Always liked NCIS, it's a pitty they were not informed that it was a -70 challenger instead of refering it to be a -71.

I saw it. Pretty neat cars. And it said that there was only 18 of those made, I coulda sworn I read somewhere it was 11.

I love the show and the car, but last night they referred to it as a '71! :rotz:
wingless now, but still around.

They were still beautiful...and if you noticed in last years show when Gibbs got the car the windshield wipers were installed "wrong" and would not go all the way down. It did creep me out when Ab's started talking about cutting up the car...but calmed myself by figuring she was doing it to creep out the bad guy. In the second NCIS...there's a very nice new Challenger...lot's of good PR out there for Mopar muscle in the cop shows.

Cars look cool but in most TV shows what they "say" they are is rearly what they really are.

The last good laught was that lame remake of the knight rider show where they suposedly wrecked a "like" 1 of 5 HEMI super bee or some lame line.  The one they wrecked was just a shell the hero car was rented car.

You never hear them say they are driving a 383 or 440 unless they refer to it as a 6 pack.

Of course they never show you whats under the hood.

Its all in the lines.

I need a better writer.

NCIS has a lot of cool stuff to look at. This is a shE-body:

While on the subect of Chargers on TV...
On the Austrian Crime drama Underbelly there's a '70s Charger Police car shown in both the first and second show.
I rarely watch the NCS shows cause they allways solve everything in a half hour baised on some completly ridicules minute bit of evidence, but that's just me.
Underbelly looks pretty good based on the first two shows, though once in a while they'll string five austrain words togeather I can't make heads or tails of...  :shruggy:
Think Scandinavian Good Fellas...  :popcrn:

I just do that to piss off our friends down under...

Abs is adorable...I remember working at university and the rest of the office hated kids that looked like that...I loved them...had one chick in dreads...she made it work and brilliant was picked up with BIG college...BIG! All paid for some research she was working on...and the rest of the staff treated her like she was an idiot...that big college loved her.
