I think I want to try and make a custom one. There is a big gap inbetween the radiator and the grile.

Yea. Just don't like that big gap.

Cody

That "big gap" is where you stash your beer cooler while you're out driving around.

The cops never look for it under the hood...

Don't ask me how I know :D

"Should the tray help to channel air through the radiator?"

There should be a rubber seal under the hood to do that.

ACUDANUT

Back in the 80's When I was on Active Duty in the Marines, The Border Patrol check point (60 miles north of the Border) would have me pull over and have me pop the hood.  I guess they had some Mexicans hiding in that area before.  Is that some crazy shit or what ?

Hahah, I've put a cooler, fluid etc in there. One time my rad overflowing and I didn't have the factory bottle so I just put the overflow tube into a bucket and drove around for all summer like that, if it overflowed, just went into the bucket instead of all over the street. Perfect!

74Rallye

I've heard it referred to as 18" of style.
