Has anyone installed a Firm Feel '62-'69 Front Sway Bar ( for cars with Factory sway bar brackets ) ?

I would like to see pictures of one installed and how the front mounts from Firm Feel replaced the stock mounts.

Also did you need the Reinforcing Plates they recomend?

Ok so no one has a Firm Feel front sway bar.

Can you show me the after market sway bar you do have and how it replaced the stock sway bar mounts?

Any extra holes required or welding?

Does the curve in the middle of the sway bar curve up or down?

Thanks Guys.

Corellian Corvette

I have it on my 68.

Love it.

Curves up like original. However, it's bigger so you won't be able to install the brace that goes from the k-member to the bottom of the core support.

You will need to size up the 2 existing holes, and drill one new hole. Took me about 10min. I would do it again no questions asked - the brackets and bar are very high quality, and fit great.

I did not need any sort of reinforcement plate. I think what they are talking about is using them to weld to the lower control arm - which is probably a good idea if you're racing the car.

Thanks for the reply.

I called FF and talked to Dick, he answered all of my questions so I ordered the 1 1/4 bar.

The Reinforcing Plates are for the lower control arms to box then in somewhat. I'm not road racing the car so I passed but definately something that can be done later if the need arizes.

FF did not have any FSBs in stock so they will have to make one for me. Said it would take a week or so.
Not a big deal since my Charger is up on jack stands at the moment.
