Just watch out with other people selling your DVD on ebay (as I have seen) advertising that it covers EVERYTHING and some, including building
a Hemi. That sort of things can damage your good reputation and a good DVD. I'm not reffering to the link you attached earlier, I will try to
find that ebayad back.

I would say that a video rolling in the background would really draw people in.
Also on that preview with the chapters I saw there was a Carter and Demon tuning section, why no Holley. Would Holley fall under Demon?

Um, well. Here's my opinion again <disclaimer> :Twocents:

I assume that this will be looping continually. Remember that 90% of the purpose of the display is to attract attention and create excitement so the other 10% can sell the product.

1. Up front, there's 33 seconds of...NO ACTION. I'm disappointed that the Dart doesn't move.
2. Then there's a bunch of vendor names I'm holding a gift bag full of and I'm tired of seeing already.
3. The music sucks, it's generic sales video music. Every booth will have the same music, it's like a slots room in the casino.
I'd try hard to find something well-known and hotroddy in the public domain to use. Hot Rod Lincoln or Shut Down or 409 maybe.
4. Your voices are pretty good. Your appearances are not. Tuck the shirts in, lose the shorts, keep your hands out of your pockets.                                 Keep in mind you're not trying to relate to the customer in his garage, you're trying to prove to him that you're something he is not. "The Clothes Make the Man" is not a platitude for no reason. Get slacks.
5. The Section menu pages through faster than I can read all the section titles.
6. Nice Dart. Put that section in the front. Put it at the end as well. Then put it in the middle in three or four places. In fact, the    more noise, smoke, and rubber you show the more people will pay attention. Drag strip footage is great, especially 60-foot shots.
7. Are you strictly Mopar? If not, get some representative manufacturers' cars in there.

Once you rope them in with the ACTION, you can talk to them one-on-one to establish your credibility. Maybe have a portable DVD player to let them preview the actual product.

ACTION ACTION ACTION. If your video goes more than 10 seconds without any ACTION you're missing somebody.
There are exactly 5 SECONDS of interesting content (to me) in this video.

Keep in mind where you are in the customer's route-if you're too near the door, they'll worry they're missing something and won't stop long. If you're too close to the exit, they're tired and overwhelmed. Change up your style with the customer's mental state in mind. See if you can get free bottled water from the venue, keep some on ice for the guy who obviously needs some.

See? I knew this would be fun.  :icon_smile_big:

I assume that this will be looping continually. Correct Remember that 90% of the purpose of the display is to attract attention and create excitement so the other 10% can sell the product.

1. Up front, there's 33 seconds of...NO ACTION. I'm disappointed that the Dart doesn't move. Good point.....I've got a little more footage of the car moving, but not much.........
2. Then there's a bunch of vendor names I'm holding a gift bag full of and I'm tired of seeing already. Yeah, I thought that was kind of long too..........
3. The music sucks, it's generic sales video music. Every booth will have the same music, it's like a slots room in the casino.
I'd try hard to find something well-known and hotroddy in the public domain to use. Hot Rod Lincoln or Shut Down or 409 maybe. Hmmmmm.......I thought the music was pretty good, but what do I know??? :scratchchin:

Once you rope them in with the ACTION, you can talk to them one-on-one to establish your credibility. Maybe have a portable DVD player to let them preview the actual product. So, you think I should have this playing, AND be able to let guys view the DVD too?..........I was hoping that this would show enough footage that I wouldn't have to have the actual DVD playing........Others had suggeted to actually play just the DVD, but kind of like you'd mentioned, that didn't seem like it would have enough action............

Nope, my GF and I have done lots of booth work and some consulting.
I didn't realize you're doing this very soon so let's see what we can do with little time and resources.

Easy enough to play some rock or oldies in the background on a CD player.
Get slacks. Good points.........It's already filmed, but I'll do that at the event...........
Yes that's much more important than in the video, anyway.

7. Are you strictly Mopar? If not, get some representative manufacturers' cars in there. No, but I don't have any footage of other makes.........Maybe I'll put together a montage of photos of other makes, put to music???
Subliminal reinforcement works. A Ford belt buckle. A Bowtie jacket hanging in the corner behind you. People key in on color. You don't really have time to change the video, do you?

Once you rope them in with the ACTION, you can talk to them one-on-one to establish your credibility. Maybe have a portable DVD player to let them preview the actual product. So, you think I should have this playing, AND be able to let guys view the DVD too?..........I was hoping that this would show enough footage that I wouldn't have to have the actual DVD playing........Others had suggeted to actually play just the DVD, but kind of like you'd mentioned, that didn't seem like it would have enough action............
I don't mean have it playing all the time, just have it available for review if a potential customer wants to see some of it before he buys. A laptop will be fine, I'm sure you'll have one around anyway?

ACTION ACTION ACTION. If your video goes more than 10 seconds without any ACTION you're missing somebody.
There are exactly 5 SECONDS of interesting content (to me) in this video. Good point, we'll work on that.........
Seriously, if you use the 5 seconds of Dart as a segue between video sections it will seem repetitive but it's better than nothing. I replayed it 4 or 5 times just because it was cool.

Good point........I'm not sure where I am yet, but will find out tomorrow............

If you can tell what the passerby *needs* and produce it for him, that gives you the time to work on what he *wants*. Or explain to him why he needs or wants your product. Got Halloween-sized Snickers bars? Guaranteed to produce traffic. Got water? Guaranteed to get thanks-especially if they eat a snickers. JellyBellies are super too, and cheap in quantity. Once they stop you get at least 30 seconds to rope them in.
Got shiny things? camshaft and old micrometer? People love to leave fingerprints, too.

That's pretty quick and messy, but run with what you can and worry about upgrading the program next time. Keep a notebook and keep track of the stuff you note works, and what doesn't.

See? I knew this would be fun.

Good luck!!
