Buddy of mine bought one of those repopped 2nd gen consoles for his dakota and found out it wont work after the fact so he sold it over to me for only 100 bucks.

Awesome!  what a score!

Great score Kelly! I've been trying to find a decent one for a good price for my '69 but have had no luck.

nice score! wish I could find one here.. I'm trying to get the black paint off of mine (it's green) to repaint it. stripping the paint is a pita..I would gladly pay someone 100 bucks to do it for me or get a new one..

nh_mopar_fan

Have you tried bumper stripper? I used it on a few pieces when was re-doing an interior and it worked pretty well. SEM makes it.

Brock Lee

Brake fluid will strip them too. It takes overnight for it to eat in to the paint, but is safe on the plastic.

I'm trying with brake fluid but it's slow progress (have to hose down the paint). Submerging it in brake fluid would accelerate things but that would take a lot of fluid!

nh_mopar_fan

Try the rubber bumper stripper.

There are lots of posts in Paint/Body and Trim that mentioned using oven cleaner. Never actually tried it myself though. Just use site search with "oven cleaner".
