I finally got a nice set of finned valve covers for the 440 and am looking for suggestions/ideas what breathers and hold down bolts to use on them. What do you think would look best and work nice?  :scratchchin:

Finned....meaning the cast aluminum Mopar pieces that come either black wrinkle finish or polished?

Yup like them only the fins run down the ends and there is no logo's other than a cal custom button the size of a quarter. I will try and post a photo but it may take me awhile.

I have 'em on my 383. I'm using just standard valve cover bolts with captured washers.(the kind where you can't get the washer off the bolt.) Try to find the correct size where the washer fits in the recesses in the v.c. holes, not the bolts for stamped steel v.c's with larger diameter washers. Mine are leak free.
For breathers I took some chrome breathers and scuffed them neatly with scotchbrite and/or fine sandpaper. It gave them a brushed aluminum look to better match the aluminum covers.

Good ideas, Thanks I've got that kind of bolt on my old chrome covers  :scratchchin: Scuffing is a real good idea as these have an aged patina (that I kinda like)  :2thumbs:
