Anyone have a 68 in this color?

Now, now, no '69 color codes.  ;)   That is probably EE-1. Take a look at this thread for the '68 blues. http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,30646.msg335004.html#msg335004

I'm not so sure its EE1 anymore...
Maybe its just an off brand color

Dans 68

Does really not look like a stock color based upon that comparison.  :scratchchin:

:iagree: I was going to say I don't recall any purple on that 68 color chart.

hemi68charger

Doesn't look like a factory color to me.........  EE1 is much darker and QQ1 is almost like B5. When you see people describing a '68 model year car as B5, that's the QQ1. There's UU1 as well that's a light blue poly and DD1 which is pale blue poly......

Thats not a picture that I took.

69 OUR/TEA

Dan,thats from the moparts site, its from the Holley Dodge show sometime past that someone else had taken.

Anyway, would say the color I put on that car was pretty much right on as I never painted the original paint hubcap wheels and they matched perfectly.

Dans 68

Are you saying that the color is EE-1? Or...?  :scratchchin:

Yes,I painted it in the orig color which was  EE1 .I meant the rims still had the orig paint on them, and comparing the orig paint(color)to the new paint on the car(PPG DBU 68 EE1)was right on as far as matching up.

Dans 68

All right, I understand now (just took me a bit longer than most...) Your Coronet is the proper EE-1 color, whilst the color of that '68 Charger is still undertermined.

Again, I think that color on the '68 Charger is a one off, an not a standard color from '68.

Hi,

the back of the "undefined" blue 68 Charger looks like one of my old cars to me when it still lived in the UK.
It was a factory JJ1 gold car which was painted in an early 80s european Ford blue back in 1992-1994 when it got a resto in the UK. The picture above was taken for a feature in the magazine "classic American" from the UK back then. Car is living in Luxemburg now

Do you have anymore pictures of that car you could post?
I love that color.

Hi,

that will be a tough job. Had it 10 years ago before the digital camera age.
But saw it in Luxemburg in 2006. I will see if I can find any recent pictures

That is the first Coronet ( thats what it looks like ) that I have seen in that color that looked correct.
I was with my father when he bought a new 68 Coronet and thats the color I remember.
That picture brought back a lot of memories.   Was hoping I could find a picture of the entire car.

Sorry for the response to an old post, but I don't seem many Coronet's this color that look correct. Thanks.
