I'm trying to burn a music CD.  I ripped the songs into windows media player and burned them onto a CD-R.  the CD plays back fine on the computer, but nothing plays on any of our home CD players.  I tried another CD and even a DVD-R disc, all with the same results.  I'm computer challenged, so I'm sure it must be something I'm doing wrong.  Thanks, Bob

You have to burn them in raw format if you want a regular CD player to play them. Probably when you "ripped" them they were turned into MP3 format.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I have the same problem, CD's only work on certain players.  How do you burn them in raw format?

and adding to that....if its a fairly new stereo...it SHOULD be MP3 capable!!

THANKS!  I just hit the option arrow at the bottom of the BURN button and clicked on audio CD.  It defaults to Data CD or DVD.  So that was my problem.
