OK, posting pictures - i give up!!!!!

Ive been trying to update my restoration thread, but to no avail.

Posted 4 pics initally no problem. Went to post another batch and it said i had already done so, which i hadn't! So i changed the filenames and it said they were to large and limit was 800kb. So i reduced it to 225. When i posted it said the limit was 200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How does this work?

Its starting to annoy me intensly!

I seem to have problems whenever i post pics which i why i rarely do.

Surely it doesn't have to be this hard?

Two rules:

-Files has to be less than 200kb
-Each filename has to be different, and since people have been posting pictures for a few years now, the usual names are taken. Name the files something absurd. kxgbfsdhkjbd.jpg or something.

hi Roger  , i'm not a expert on resizing pictures , took me ages to figure it out  

this is the site i use !  follow instructions  , click on custom size , then sizing in pixels , then i just type in 400 , works ok for me ,  also sometimes , if it is not done already , rename the picture !

First, check the help section and see the other threads (seemingly thousands) on the same subject. The file size limit is 200 kB per picture and 800 kB per post (4 pictures).

I suppose I could remove the "per post" limit so the error messages are not too confusing. I could make it easier but some people abuse the system and screw it up for everyone else.

If you have a file named charger.jpg there is a really good chance that one already exists, so what I do is add todays date and change the file name to something like charger12212009.jpg or charger12212009A.jpg. Those will have a pretty good shot at posting.
