Pipe plug size? (water pump housing)

Hi,
I will plug the holes for the heating hoses on the water pump housing. Wich size should I buy on the plugs. I have pre -70 housing (same size on the fittings/holes).

think its 3/8 " National pipe thread !!  from memory , plumbers shop will have them :yesnod:

The hose is 5/8"  - 3/8" sounds a little small TT. Buy a bunch of different sizes if you can't eyeball it - they will each be under a buck.

yeah i think you could be right  ,  could be a 1/2 " national pipe thread  , thinking about  it  :scratchchin:  was in the garage earlier , should of had a look  , will do tomorrow  :yesnod:

I will order more stuff like a new povermaster xs starter and more. not just two plugs if you mean that. I always order part. Cant understand how much parts the cars need ;)

Anyone know where to find 5/8" plugs like vacuum plugs to plug the pipes from the heater on the firewall.
Try to do some search on summit but just find vacuum plugs up to 3/8"

Just installed some in my water pump. There are 3/8 npt.
1969 dodeg charger, 528 hemi ,Tko 5spd.

Yepp - 5/8" hose both sides. And it's a stock water pump housing. 3/8" NPT sounds a little small. Think 1/2" will be good :shruggy:

Is this what your talking about for a plug?   If so, you guys use some teflon tape or something else so it doesn't leak?
