i have a dead spot i the beggining of my throttle. is there any way to make it a strait full throttle? :drive:

Ghoste

Aren't they fly by wire?  Could there be a dirty spot in it?  I'm really just guessing here.

Rolling_Thunder

it is when you go from idle to part throttle no matter what ?  if so it might just be a byproduct of drive by wire systems...   it takes the computer time to get the signal and then operate the throttle blade.

It's just the way they are... Installing a tune HELPS but doesn't eliminate this...

There were so many quirks to the way these cars go I dumped mine... Buh Bye...

OneofNoneRT

Hmmm Really. :scratchchin:. I dont have that problem.. at all!. :shruggy: If the Traction control kicks it will stall out or if the accelerometer is tripped by a hard turn it will reduce throttle.. You can install a switch that can temporarily take this out of the system.. Turning EPS off does not completely disable the system it will still try to save itself and you,,
I have an 08 and still enjoy it,,

I don't have that problem with my wife's '08 or my '06.  In fact no problems at all with either of them.

Our 09 has no problems like that either. I am very impressed with the car so far, I think they are great cars.

You need to ask that question over here;

It's a new Charger board.

BTW, I have an 09. Great car!

Throttle calibration can substantially improve throttle responsiveness over "factory standard." Many people notice what appears to be sluggish throttle response or a "dead area" at initial accelerator depression. Throttle calibration can take care of these.
1) Insert ignition key and turn to "ON" (not start).
2) Wait for all idiot lights to go out. Check Engine Light may remain on.
3) Slowly depress the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor.
4) Slowly release the accelerator pedal until it's all the way back up.
5) Turn the ignition key to "OFF".
6) Start the engine.
Most drivers notice an immediate change in throttle response, but depending on your driving style, you may need to repeat this procedure periodically due to the computer's adaptive programming. You likely need to repeat this procedure any time the battery is disconnected.

OK:
maybe it's just me - but I often wonder if these guys - who post one thread of one sentence where a few (or several) simple words are spelled wrong,.. and, having been registered on the site for actually less then four minutes...

are not trolls.  :shruggy:

I would think he did a Google search for "Charger" and found us first. If he has a new Charger he will probably spend his time on the site I linked him too. There is about Zero info here for his new Charger. Although if he decides to stay he is more than welcome.

I really like my new Charger. It is a very good car. I just had to get over the name, it took me a while. I hope that the rest of this board will someday too.

well sometime ago a reply I made joking about the Chagnum was deleted although wasn't offensive ( just because supposelly ppl was running away from the board cause that ), so I have to specify I can't close my mouth when this comes to float, Just making a light joke, non offense intention and saying everybody is welcomed on board ( even chebby guys :D )

but will be interesting to know if we can make a SPELL CHECK about the "NEW CHARGER" phrase...   :scratchchin: :naughty:

otherwise, personally I can't help on any tech info about newer cars, just adding a post on my count

( editing: I can say I'm kinda BULL Latin American version about this, but lighter,  :smilielol:  :nana: )
