'70 Charger bumper guard question...

Did all '70 Charger front bumper guards have a rub strip as in the picture below?

is that a a pre mids 69s guard ? since mid 69 they were taller, going ABOVE the bumper, although dunno on 70s

think  only the tall  guards had the rubber  :scratchchin: strips   not on all cars  :popcrn:

This came up awhile back when I saw a pair on eBay, the only thing that was resolved was nobody is repoping them anymore.

If you mean are they the same as the 69 short guards, then no.  The 70 guards are unique to themselves.

70 front guards had the rubber strip and they are available.

The car in my picture was an R/T, so I figured they would have had them if any trim level did - but would a base level (XH29) Charger have had them too?

mmm I see it... they look pretty much similar to 71s really, more than earliers

The front bumper guards on a 70 Charger are unique to only the 70 Charger. And they were available on all model levels however were not standard...they were an option. And yes they had the rubber strip.

I like them... more than 73/74s... but also true 73/74 are REALLY WORKFULL... those are more "ornaments" LOL
