RECHRGD

I just heard that our tax loving Governor in Washington State was in Copenhagen for the climate summit.  Why?  Our state is broke and she's out spending taxpayer dollars and spewing spent jet fuel into the atmosphere to go save the world.

I don't believe in global warming, and I never have.

I was watching a show about it, and the scandal behind it. And they interviewed a scientist (with hidden face) that is in hiding for their life, because he said there is NO human link between global warming and humans. That in fact there is adamant proof that the word has actually cooled in the past 6 years. The guy said that the world is always going through climate changes, and this is what is happening to the polar caps and glaciers. And that is simply caused by the sun. They also showed that some people may be using the issue to earn billions of dollars, start a one-world government and control people's lives. They had a lot of well know people on camera stating this stuff. It was also pointed out that Al Gore was right in the middle of this, and they proved it. They also were showing that the "Carbon Credits" that large polluting companies buy, basically are way these companies can buy permission to pollute more, and get away with it. This is a list of people they had on the show saying it is a scandal; Featured Experts and Eyewitnesses: Lord Christopher Monckton, British politician, business consultant, policy advisor, writer and inventor who disagrees with mainstream scientific consensus on global warming; Richard Lindzen, atmospheric physicist, professor of meteorology at MIT and author who alleges political pressure on climate scientists; Amit Chaterjee, founder and CEO of Hara Software, an environmental start up backed in part by Al Gore's venture capital firm; Ben Santer, climate researcher at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory; Noel Sheppard, associate editor of NewsBusters.org and outspoken critic of global-warming science; "Dr. X," an eminent climatologist who wants to protect his identity for his family's safety; George Hunt, a UN whistleblower and author; and Martin Durkin, producer and director of the UK Channel 4 documentary The Great Global Warming Swindle.

How much of it is real, I don't know, but they show enough stuff to piss most of us off.

This is the weekly show on Tru Tv at 9pm central time on Wednesdays. They do get enough credible people on the show to back their theorys up, even though, the show is a bit cheesy at times.

Ever wonder why there's not more intelligent debate in America? :RantExplode:

Sarcasm and mockery make for great repartee, but are poor arguments. :hah:

Irregardless of certain people stances, there are plenty of credible sources against the theory of MMGW.  :yesnod:

Just because someone thinks their point is the correct one, doesn't necessarily mean it is.  :shruggy:

But sometimes when yah got nothin', yah go with whatcha got...  :scratchchin:

Nothin'.  :icon_smile_big:

Anyways, back to your regularily scheduled talking points everypeoples.  :D

14 pages and nothing convincing in favor of man made global warming. Yet, when one world government or communism is written, were now a bunch of conspiracy cooks. What else do you call it when other country's dictate what we are allowed to do for no rime or reason?

i think the truth is out there in regards to MMGW.  There is no truth to it.  I am not saying its okay to pollute or stop trying to decrease your energy efficiency; but rather to tell those that think it exists to please pull your horse-blinders off and see the whole picture.

I hate how people label me (and yes they do, I have had it happen to my face) as a person who "hates the earth" or "you dont care about your children's future do you?" just because I believe in something they do not.  When they resort to guilt tactics, it not only tells me they are fanatics who have nothing else to base their arguments on, but they rather like the idea that they can brag to their friends on how good they are to ol' mammy nature.

HUMBLE: coming to the conclusion that maybe you do not know it all, OR maybe you are doing it the wrong way.... AND THEN ACTUALLY LOOK AT ANOTHER VIEWPOINT.

I used to be a global warming believer.  I would argue the many physical examples of how the earth was warming.  From heatwaves in the UK, to lack of snow in the winter, to moderate temps in the winter.  Well, I think I was full of crap.  I changed when I stopped listening to only a certain realm of media, the politicians, and the newscasts that realized it is "newsworthy".

I do agree with defiance in one area.  The area requires more research.  Not to prove in MMGW, but rather to decrease the amount of pollution in the air that could and is causing health issues in certain geographic locations.  Which means that their current concept of research is not focused with the appropriate questions.

Other than that, maybe we should all just watch Gore and his investments and invest in the same thing as he? :D

I just wish both sides would drop their absolute conviction that their side is right so we could actually figure out the truth.  The consequences of being wrong EITHER WAY are too great to let this be decided by O'Reilly vs. Gore.

Right, if your argument is failing attack the opposition. Nevermind, this is pointless.  This talk of conspiracy and rejection of reason is too much for me.
