That's a really cool shop!!! I'll bet we're all wishing there was a shop like near our town!  :2thumbs:

jb666

Ok guys.. I had my normal Saturday trip, and took a few pictures while I was there. There wasn't a ton of stuff to show you, because most of the projects that were done this week were labor intensive because perfection was required.

The Auburn has been disassembled, and the front fenders have been skim coated..

The rest of the sheet metal came back from the sandblaster's shop

New to the shop is this cool old Ford pickup.. The boys got this after it sat at a body shop with no progress (except overspray all over the guy's brand new 460!!). So C&B will be finishing up this old beast..

Looking at it, I thought it was an old F-series...

I was shocked to see this:

The Hemi-Dart (clone) is really coming along.. The area I showed you last week is getting finished off nicely!

And to coin my favorite cartoon character of days past, that's all folks!! See you next week!!

The truck departed today... It rolled in as seen above (after it sat in another body shop for SEVEN + years!!) and rolled out a gorgeous shade of Dark Metallic Blue with a Pearl White roof....

More to come...

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

That's an understatement... They turned this thing around in a WEEK!!!! And there was some metal work required, so it wasn't just a quick sand and shoot.. Chuck was in there both days this weekend working on it too... Dedication!!!  :buff:

Ok guys (and gals), here we go again... Another weekend, another trip. I was pretty excited to head to the shop this weekend for multiple reasons. I was really looking forward to seeing the Ford painted.. but I was a little bit too early... Chuck still had it in the booth painting the Pearl on the roof...

The rest, you can see above...

The Auburn has had some minor detail work, and is still a sight to see each time I'm there.

The Camaro's still hangin' around...

And finally, the '57... I love this car and love seeing it's progress.. The car is really starting to shout out "yeah, I'm big & bad, so what!!". I'd love to own this beast..

The lines... The detail... This thing is sexy.

And here you can almost feel the life in this car, ready to surface and open it's eyes... Or maybe I just dropped acid, I have no idea..

That concludes this week's pictures.. Will there be more? Come on, does a bear crap in the woods???

jb666

Ok people, I have some really cool pictures to show you from today's visit... I didn't go to the "normal" shop, but instead went to the secret location where Project X is being faitfully fabricated and is really starting to take shape. This will be a very well known vehicle when it's finished.. But for now, I'd like to share the creation.. If your fortunate enough to see it in person once it's done, you'll appreciate watching it 'grow' here over the next few months (or more!)

And here you can see Chuck is hard at work forming his creation..

I swear, this guy never rests!!

TO BE CONTINUED....

jb666

Out to the model shop we go... So much more of Blair's collection has been added to the display room. I could spend all day out here. There's some amazing, rare and awe inspiring things in this room!!! Check some of it out... I will not comment on every single picture because there's just not enough time for all of them!!!! So, enjoy!!

TO BE CONTINUED!!

jb666

The body of this model was molded and made out of Bondo!!

These are awesome... Blair made these 100% out of BONDO.. Eat your heart out, BK Auto, you don't have ANYTHING on Blair's skills here!!

Back out to the shop, for a look at another cool Pontiac that the guys have to finish! This belongs to the same guy who owns the other Pontiacs you've seen AND the half-track that I posted pics of a couple of weeks ago.

Look at the chrome on this beauty!!

Here you can see 2 of his classics together!!

And here's the COOL OLD TIRE shot of the week!!

Ok folks, that's all for this week!!! See you after next week's visit with some more pictures from your favorite shop!!

jb666

On a side note, I just read that it's been said that Blair has one of the nicest model collections in the country, bar none... That's a pretty cool statement in itself!!!

mikepmcs

Holy unbelievable stuff batman!!!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing Jeff!  :icon_smile_big:

Today I stopped by the 'toy shop', not the main shop.. But Chuck had just finished his most recent welding helmet. This thing is AWESOME. Wait until you see it in person!!

These colors REALLY pop out in the sun. This thing is awesome. It'll blind you if you let the sun catch it!!

To Be Continued!!

jb666

Ok, people, here are some more pictures from my trip today...

First, you can see the progress on Project X. The spring cups are made and looking great! I have a strange feeling this vehicle is going to be a real work of art.

More cool model shots that I didn't get last time (more and more being taken out of storage!)

And get this... This original 340 Cuda is about to be restored.. Talk about a challenge!!! Wow... This thing was sandblasted and left out in the elements some time ago...

The funny car is almost getting it's feet wet!!

And, we had a curious on-looker while we were taking pictures...

And I'll leave you with a retro-version of what it might have looked like 3 decades ago...

Ok guys, here are the results of today's trip to the shop... We were in the area car-shopping and thought we'd stop in... We're glad we did, because as we pulled in the parking lot, it was quickly evident that SPRING WAS FINALLY HERE... Why is that? I'm glad you asked... He's big.. He's bad, and HE'S BACK and better than ever!!

A kind gesture from one friend to another sat right inside the shop, on the table...

And now on to the more serious issues.. CARS!! The '57 has been completed skim-coated and is moving right along..

There's a Mustang that DMC has been building and is now ready for paint... This will be '93 "Cobra Red" shortly..

The Hemi-Dart (clone) is coming along nicely.. The inside is now in primer, and the metal work is awesome!

And finally, I'll leave you with some more shots of Chuck's creative work... This stuff looked too awesome sitting under the lights to just walk by!

That's it!! I hope you guys enjoyed this week's pictures..

jb666

Sorry guys, with everything going on lately I've really been slacking... I went to the shop this weekend and took a few pictures...

The '57 Chevy is in primer and really looks great. It won't be long now!!

Inside the booth is a fox-body Mustang...

And out in front of the booth is the return of a really cool old Pontiac that you've all seen before!!

And you could fit a few (dozen) bodies in here!

And here's how Chuck gets all of his guidance throughout the day... It is certain!
