Does anyone reproduce an accurate reading 3/8ths sending unit? This would be for a 68 Charger. I need the unit that has a 3/8ths port for fuel and a 1/4" port for the vapor return line. I have tried two different ones so far and both gave different but inaccurate readings at the guage. The entire cluster was restored by instrument specialties, I have a new tank. tank straps, fuel lines, clips, hoses, clamps, vapor filter canister etc. Has anyone purchased one of these units that worked correctly? If so, from who so I can get one. Thanks!

I don't know for sure but read that the sending unit can be ordered for your local Chrysler dealership, part # 2534111.

the 3/8" sender has been NS1 for years.

Mark,
I've used the ones Randy has at Dixie Restoration parts and had no complaints at all

Bill,
Thanks. I do a little business with Randy so I'll check it out. I had my Chrysler parts department guy run the 3/8ths part number and yes, it is NS1. Frank Badalson gave up on the 3/8ths sending unit project out of fustration in dealing with the overseas manufacturers. His experience with all the aftermarket 3/8ths sending units is that there isn't one accurate one out there and he advised me to find a NOS one. If we can get just s few more nice dry days before the snow flies I'll try and burn up some of the fuel in my tank so I can pull out the sender I have in it now and run an ohms test on it before buying another one.
